ZEISS PRISMO Ultra Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)

ZEISS PRISMO ultra improves the precision within the ZEISS PRISMO family even further and achieves a length measurement error of only 0.5 + L/500 µm. The coordinate measuring machine is therefore particularly suitable for tasks where maximum precision is required, such as in research, development, quality assurance and when calibrating gauges or test specimens in reference measuring rooms or measuring laboratories.

DESCRIPTION

The ZEISS PRISMO Ultra is a top-of-the-line, high-precision bridge-type coordinate measuring machine (CMM) designed for maximum accuracy and reproducible measurements. With a length measurement error from 0.5 + L/500 µm, it is ideal for applications requiring ultimate precision, including research, development, quality assurance, and calibration of gauges or test specimens in reference measuring rooms and laboratories.

Equipped with the ZEISS VAST Performance package and multi-application probe system (ZEISS mass), PRISMO Ultra supports tactile and optional optical probes, including ZEISS ROTOS (roughness) and ZEISS LineScan sensors. Computer-Aided Accuracy (CAA) and advanced corrections — such as thermal bending compensation, optimized tensor calibration, reference sphere bending compensation, and RT measurement corrections — maintain exceptional precision even at high scanning speeds. High-resolution ZERODUR® scales with 20 nm resolution, improved air bearings, and an active pneumatic damping system ensure thermal stability, vibration resistance, and long-term durability.

Energy-efficient features like the C99m controller, PowerSaver, and AirSaver reduce power consumption and support sustainable operation. Safety innovations, including adjustable side panels and safety laser scanners, protect operators without reducing productivity. Measurement cycles are accelerated with scanning speeds up to 300 mm/s and the optional ZEISS VAST Rotary Table Axis (ZVRA), which reduces rotary table axis definition time by 75%.
