ZEISS PRISMO Fortis Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)

Thanks to optimized materials and newly developed corrections, ZEISS PRISMO fortis guarantees maximum precision at temperatures of up to 40°C. The coordinate measuring machine can therefore also be used directly in production environments. By using the optional ZEISS VAST Rotary Table (ZVR), the measuring times for certain applications can be significantly reduced due to the faster movements of the rotary table.

DESCRIPTION

The ZEISS PRISMO Fortis is a high-precision bridge-type coordinate measuring machine (CMM) designed for reliable and accurate measurements directly in production environments. With optimized materials, advanced corrections, and a length measurement error suitable for production temperatures up to 40 °C, it is ideal for applications requiring precision in challenging operational conditions, including automotive, aerospace, electronics, and precision engineering production environments.

Equipped with the ZEISS VAST Performance package and multi-application probe system (ZEISS mass), PRISMO Fortis supports tactile and optional optical probes, including ZEISS ROTOS (roughness) and LineScan (optical) sensors. Computer-Aided Accuracy (CAA) and additional corrections — including temperature compensation via integrated sensors, vibration-damping pneumatic systems, and floating ZERODUR® scales with 80 nm resolution — ensure thermal stability, vibration resistance, and long-term durability.

Energy-efficient features such as the C99m controller, PowerSaver, and AirSaver reduce power consumption and support sustainable operation. Safety innovations, including adjustable side panels and safety laser scanners, protect operators without compromising productivity. Measurement cycles are accelerated with scanning speeds up to 300 mm/s and the optional ZEISS VAST Rotary Table Axis (ZVRA), which reduces rotary table axis definition time by 75%.
